The author of this book just messaged me to say:
"There's a controversial question in the world of prostitution. Do you pay the prostitute first or do you pay her after you've had sex?
In my book I tell Johns to pay after they have sex with the prostitute. A John has everything to lose by giving up the money first."
I have never heard of paying afterwards. In my experience you have to pay up front or you don't get service.
