Punting in Paris - warwick_single - 06-05-2011
I wondered if any of anyone has experience of punting in Paris? I'm off there for a few months and I've looked at the usual sites for reviews etc but wondered if anyone here has been there and done it, so to speak.

Hi Warwick,
Went Paris June last year for a few days, managed to organise a couple of punts whilst I was there. I arranged them through adultwork, obviously you have to change the region to France from the UK. One thing I will say though it is expensive. I had two two hour punts at 350 euros each!!! Not cheap, but I had a good time. The punting in Paris is sparse to say the least to sum up. Anyway good luck in your quest cos that is what it will be, lol.

I looked to me like the girls were charging over the odds on AW and punterlink etc, so I'll strike up a rapport with the hotel concierge and see if he has any tips !

For whatever reason France and Paris In particular Is crap and overpriced, many French guys cross the borders to Germany and Belgium to punt.

Need to blame Merv for that one as the £ only get something like 1.1e's as opposed to 1.6e's a few years back. On 350e that makes a difference of £100
