Think the press might be more the cause of this though egging her on with offers of large sums of cash:
"When our investigator asked the teen if she would meet him she pushed his offer to £6,000"

£6k?? You could do 100 half hour punts for that, maybe more if you did some £30 - £40 punts.
1 amateur who doesn't know what she is doing vs 100 pros who do.
