The UK Laws on Prostitution
#1
according to the Daily Mail that is:

What are the laws in the UK on prostitution?

Prostitution is not wholly illegal in the UK, but many activities surrounding it are deemed unlawful.
People are allowed to both sell and pay for sex. However in Northern Ireland, the laws are different, and it is illegal to pay for sex since June 2015.
Working as a prostitute in private is not an offence, and neither is working as an outcall escort.
Nor is it illegal for prostitutes to sell sex at a brothel provided they are not involved in management or control of the brothel.
Under the Sexual Offences Act 2003, it is an offence to cause or incite prostitution or control it for personal gain, sometimes referred to as 'pimping'
The 1956 Sexual Offences Act bans running a brothel and it's against the law to loiter or solicit sex on the street.
Kerb-crawling is also banned, providing it can be shown the individual was causing a persistent annoyance.
Adverts placed in phone boxes have been banned since 2001.
Human trafficking, in which many women are forced into prostitution is also covered by the laws.
There are also general laws on public nuisance and decency which can be used to target the sex trade.
